Welcome to the first of our beautifully restored vintage rail coaches, which date from the mid twentieth century.
Carriage 1 combines authentic original fixtures with luxurious detailing, such as fine bedlinen and seasonal handpicked flowers from Pond Meadow.

Within Carriage 1’s double-door entrance is a comfortable living | dining area, with wood-burning stove, and table and chairs for eating and relaxing. Beyond, a rear extension contains a hand-built, fully equipped kitchen, warmed by an antique cast-iron radiator.
The snug sleeping area holds an artisan, elevated king-size bed, with feather duvet, super-soft mattress and warm blankets for a perfect night’s sleep.
Off the kitchen is an elegant shower room and WC, which boasts an original Victorian sanitaryware and freshly-laundered towels in muted tones.
For outdoors lounging there is an exclusive decked terrace with a fire pit overlooking a serene lake. And for al-fresco cooking a premium wood-fired cooking stove completes the picture.
